AGA Summer Go Camp

Every Summer the AGA organizes a national children's go camp, a mixtture of traditional camp activites such as arts and crafts; canoeing; and go instruction by professionals and top amateurs. Click here for more information.

Redmond Cup

The Redmond Cup is a national tournament for North American children sponored by Michael Redmond 8-Dan, his family, and the American Go Association. There are two divisions in the Cup; the Junior league for those aged less than 12 years and the Senior league for those 12 and older, but younger than 18, on August 1st . Competitors in the Senior League must be playing at Dan strength, in the Junior 5 kyu or stronger. The participants must be members of the American Go Association or the Canadian Go Association, and either residents of the U.S., Canada or Mexico, or citizens of the United States living anywhere in the world, provided that they are also members of the AGA. The four finalists will be invited to the US Go Congress and play the three final games there. Congress fees will be paid by the AGA and the AGF as well as most travel costs. Preliminary games will be played on the Internet, courtesy of IGS-PandaNet, No parent or teacher is to be in the room while the registrant plays his or her game. The tournament director for the Redmond Cup is Michael Bull. Ing rules of Goe for all games. US Go Congress

The US Go Congress is held every summer. Children are encouraged to attend. In addition to participating in regular Congress events such as: the US Open, the US Pair Go Championships, and the lightning go tournament; alot of special events are organized especially for children such as teaching sessions, children's tournaments, a pizza party.

To encourage children's participation, children's participation at the Congress is subsidized with the Congress entrance fees paid.

Local Clubs

There are local clubs located in many areas of the US. Children are very welcome to attend. The AGA maintains a list of AGA chapters and other go clubs in the US.

Tiger's Mouth Youth Website
