Can a pro make a mistake on a kyu level tsumego problem?!
You decide.

Solution follows    (or click here to download SGF)

A mistake?
Black 1, 3, and 5 is the "official" solution, which ends with Black 5. But White has the throw-in at 6. After Black 7, White lives with most of the group with 8.

See the SGF for a blizzard of other lines for this entire problem.

Black variation.
Varying with 3 doesn't seem to help Black. White simply dodges to 4. Through 7, Black only has a ko that White takes 1st.

Correct line?
Isn't Black 1 the real killing move? After White blocks with 2 and 4, Black 5 ruins White's eye shape. White can struggle to create eye space with 6 and 8, but Black 9 kills.

White variation.
If White tries to create eye space with 4, Black still plays 5. White 6 and 8 again fail to create 2 eyes after Black ataris with 9.
